Dear Fiscotti Fan!!
♫ All you need is love
All you need is love
All you need is love, love
Love is all you need! ♫
If you don't sing this song for the rest of the day, I'll be surprised! Feel free to send me a thank you note (LOL) as some of you already join my sing-a-longs on Facebook...thank you BTW as I love how 1. you join in and 2. you know the songs!!
I bring up 'love' for obvious reasons. Mainly because we celebrate Valentine's Day, BUT did you know it's also 'Relationship Wellness' month? I'm not making this up, I swear!
To mark 'relationship wellness' month, I recommend you spread a whole bunch of love. The 'relationship' could be with a partner, a friendship, a family member or even a working relationship. These relationships are all important and they need to be looked after.
- Spend quality time as a couple and make time for date nights.
- Be generous with your time by checking in on those you love to see how they are.
- Keep in touch with those near and far by phone/Facetime/Zoom calls and let them know they are in your thoughts.
It doesn't cost anything, but it sure does bring joy to someone's world. And we could all use a bit of that.
Why am I so passionate about this? Well, it all started out with an idea I had. The highlighted quote below is from a book I started to write back in 2013.
The book was based on a relationship forum I wanted to call 'Relation FIX'. This forum was supposed to be a “gym-like therapy clinic” that would provide support to men and women who are in relationships but are not clear on how to make them successful.”
These 'therapy sessions' were not meant for couples only, but all relationships. Now, don’t confuse this with a fitness facility or your local gym, instead, it was intended as a place to work out your mind. I wrote 90 pages and I even sketched what the facility would look like and then life got in the way.
For some reason, I was sorting through all the chapters over the holidays and am thinking maybe I should finish it....will keep you posted!
Anyhow, my point is, find the time to show someone you love them, no matter who it is. Because it is proven that there are plenty of benefits of laughing, smiling and just enjoying each other's company.
Enjoy life to the last bite!
Rose
xoxo
